Mulberry Court care home hosts Christmas Fete in Rawcliffe

The care home was adorned with sparkling lights and decorations, creating a warm and cheerful holiday vibe for visitors and residents.

Guests enjoyed homemade cakes, mince pies, and mulled wine. The festive food spread was a major attraction for all ages.

Loosen the soil and mix in compost or organic matter. Mulberries prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil for optimal growth and fruit production.

Plant the mulberry sapling in a hole twice the size of its root ball. Gently cover the roots with soil and water thoroughly to help it settle in.

Water your mulberry plant regularly but avoid overwatering. Keep the soil moist, especially during the growing season, for the best results.

The fete strengthened bonds between the care home and the Rawcliffe community, showcasing the spirit of togetherness.

Harvest mulberries when they’re fully ripe and deep purple. Gently shake the branches to collect the fruits and enjoy them fresh or in recipes.
