How To Grow Green Chillies From Seeds At Home

Start with fresh, high-quality chilli seeds for better germination. You can use seeds from store-bought chillies or packets designed for planting.

Use well-draining soil mixed with compost. Chillies thrive in fertile, loose soil, ensuring proper growth and healthy plants.

Sow seeds 1 cm deep in the soil. Cover them lightly with soil, keeping a gap between seeds for proper spacing and root development.

Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Overwatering can harm seed germination and slow down plant growth.

Place the pot in a sunny spot. Chillies need 6–8 hours of sunlight daily for healthy growth and good yield.

Feed plants with organic fertilizers every 15 days. This ensures they get the nutrients needed to grow strong and produce chillies.

Prune dead leaves to encourage new growth. Harvest green chillies when they are firm and shiny for the best flavor.
